WELCOME

The London Junior Chess Championships is one of the country's most prestigious junior chess events. Qualifying events for U8, U10 & U12 age groups run in different venues throughout the autumn. There is no prior qualification necessary for the U14 events and above.

The list of qualifying events for LJCC 2026 will be published in due course, and links to online entry will be added shortly thereafter.

The U12 Major finals is also a pre-selection tournament for the EPSCA England U11 Team.

Thank you for playing in the 2025 LJCC events, it was a pleasure to welcome the chess community to our events again, and we hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we did in hosting it. Results are now available on our results page.

We are delighted to announce the LJCC Centenary Tournament 2024 has been named ECF Tournament of the Year.
