LJCC is one of the country's most prestigious junior chess events.
Qualifying events for U8, U10 & U12 age groups run in different venues throughout the autumn term.
U14 and above can enter the finals without prior qualification.
Our first event was held back in 1924. This makes 2024 our Centenary Year! To celebrate we will be offering enhanced cash prizes and exciting additional events at this year's Finals.
Our Centenary 2024 tournament is now open for entries at the qualifier stage.
You'll find a list of Qualifying Events on the Qualifier tab above.
If your child qualifies, please revisit this website to enter our Finals.
LJCC Centenary Finals take place before Christmas and after Christmas, at two different locations.
Good luck in this tournament. Remember qualification is tough. Even the very best players sometimes take several attempts to get the required score.
Thank to everyone who competed in and supported LJCC 2023
