. London Junior Chess Championships

Welcome

LJCC is one of the country's most prestigious junior chess events.

Qualifying events for U8, U10 & U12 age groups run in different venues throughout the Autumn term.

U14 and above can enter the finals without prior qualification.

Our first event was held back in 1924. This makes 2024 our Centenary Year!

To celebrate, we will be offering enhanced cash prizes and exciting additional events at this year's Finals.

LJCC 2024 - Centenary Event

Our Centenary 2024 tournament is now open for entries.

Alongside our prestigious youth events, we hold well-attended adult congresses.

Children in U8, U10, and U12 age groups must qualify for our finals.

Please check the Qualifying Events listed under the Qualifying tab above.

Once your child qualifies, revisit this website to enter the Finals.

The LJCC Centenary Finals will take place at two different locations:

December 14th & 15th - University of Westminster, Marylebone Campus

December 28th, 29th & 30th - University of Westminster, Harrow Campus

December 29th & 30th - University of Westminster, Harrow Campus
